Josh grew up moving around and with his pastor father and family. It was his father who introduced Josh to rugby as a toddler. Josh didn't play organized rugby until his final year of high school. After which he continued to play while attending Adelaide University. Josh earned a Full Blue in '04 after representing Australian Universities. Josh has worked in coach education for as part of his role with the South Australian Rugby Union, liaising closely with Australian Rugby Union. His specific remit was development of rugby in South Australian at schools, ARU promotions and programs and working with the elite junior training squads.
